DISCIPLINARY HEARINGS

DISCIPLINARY HEARINGS AND RELATED SERVICES

We chair disciplinary hearings at very reasonable rates, and we provide our findings, in writing, within 24 hours.

What is a hearing?

A hearing is a formal process used by employers to address misconduct or poor performance in the workplace. The purpose of a hearing is to determine whether the employee’s behaviour or performance warrants disciplinary action or whether they need to charge the employee with incapacity when they clearly are not performing even after training and coaching.

Our services to employers:

1. Telephonic advisory consultations, free of charge.
2. Chairing disciplinary hearings to address misconduct and incapacity hearings to address poor performance.
3. Chairing incapacity hearings (Incapacity due to ill health.) Permanent or continued incapacity due to ill-health or injury may be a legitimate reason for terminating an employee’s employment contract. An employer is not obliged to retain an employee who is permanently incapacitated.
